If you want to create a page for a character, show, or game, first check the "reserved" list to be sure that someone else hasn't reserved it already. If the page isn't reserved, then you can make it!

Note: If you make it difficult for me to post your page, for whatever reason, it will be delayed or perhaps not even posted. I have a lot of work to do on this site, so if a file is hard to do, I set it aside for later... and sometimes never get to it. And don't even bother sending me descriptions without pics or pics without descriptions. Those things go into a "holding" bin and may never be seen again. Don't send a page as a Word document!

Another note, about the names of anime characters: I know, I know, in Japan the family name goes first. But on this site, use the Western order, please.

Character pages

What I need for a character's page ~

This is very simple. I only need two things.

1. Images. I'd like 3 or 4 reasonably good images. More, and the "overflow" will go into the "Favorite images" section. If images of the characters are hard to find, I will take 2 or even just one ~ but I like 4, and I'll add more later if they come along from other people. The main images have to be from the show or movie or studio, that is, not fanart or from a comic book. (This does not apply to game characters.) (Note: please don't take pictures from other peoples' sites without permission. Most sites are OK with you taking pics, but if they want a link exchange, I will be happy to do it - just include the URL if they want me to link to them.)
   
   The maximum size for the images on a character page is length x width = 700. However, I prefer that the longest side be no more than 400 px. I will resize them for you. The minimum size is length x width = 300 (I don't want icons and thumbnails). I will resize them, but if that results in a pixelated image, I'll simply not use it.
   
2. A description. I need a description of the character that tells some basic information about him/her. This should be a short description, no more than a few sentences, and preferably spoiler-free. See any character pages for examples. The description must include the name of the show/movie/game that the character appears in.
   
   The basic idea is that, if someone has never heard of the character before, they can get a quick introduction from the page. If you have a lot of stuff to say about the character beyond the quick description, put it in the "Comments" section.

• Note: This description must be your own. Don't steal it from someplace else.

And that's all I need! Of course, you can send other stuff, too (see the Contribution page for some ideas, if you want), but that's the basics.

If you want to create the page yourself in html, you can download the template (http://fantasykat.com/ch/&basecharpg.html). Don't worry that it looks funny - I use css for the pages, so it'll be right when I add it to the site. Please don't create the page in a pagemaker from another site, such as Geocities. They add a lot of extra code, some of which interferes with what I have already, and I end up doing all the work anyway.

Show pages

If it's a game page you want to create, I only take pages for games which have distinct characters and at least a minimal story line, such as RPG games.

Here's what I need:

• One picture (largish) that shows as many of the main cast as possible (or represents the show or game as a whole). This goes at the top of the page. I have a size restriction (length + width is no more than 1000 px), but I'll take care of that, you don't have to worry about it.
• A synopsis of the plot of the show or story behind the game. Try not to include spoilers, but if you must do so in order to make it a good page, please post a warning that spoilers are included. Do include in the synopsis whether it's a movie, series, game, or whatever. Keep it to 3 or 4 short paragraphs. Send it as a text document. I can take most formats, but please, not Microsoft Works.
• A character list of all major characters. (If you have it, a list of minor characters would also be a good thing to include.)

That's it! It's a page! Of course, you don't have to stop there. As with the character pages, you can add stuff, like:

• For the characters: descriptions (keep them short! ~ a couple of lines for main characters, one sentence for minor ones), voice actors, and/or thumbnails. Thumbnails have a size restriction ~ length + width is no more than 200 pixels ~ but, again, I'll take care of that. However, if I resize them, I will most likely just make the longest side 100 px.
• Favorite images ~ these pics should include at least two characters. (As a matter of fact, this whole idea started because I wanted a place to put multi-character pics.) As I said, there is a size restriction (length + width is no more than 1000 px), so I'll resize images that are too large.
• Comments about the show/game.
• Links to sites about the show/game.
• Links to fanfic and fan art on the site that are about the show/game. (Normally, you just remind me about those, and I'll link them for you. That's a lot easier!)
• For a series, an episode list/guide. For a game, a list/guide for the "worlds".
• Director, composer, head animators, etc.
• Anything else you can think of, similar to the character pages. However, if you use scenes or quotes, be sure they include more than one character ~ otherwise they should be on the character's page.
