Digimon: Digital Monsters is an anime show that features kids called the DigiDestineds that are sent to the Digital World to fight the forces of darkness with the help of their Digimon, or Digital Monsters (or become Digimon in Season Four to fight the forces of darkness). However, they first must learn to become a team and to reveal the quality that made them part of the team in order to win.
There are now four seasons and it is still ongoing. The series has attracted fans from across the world. The show has drama, action, suspense, intrigue and most important, characterization. The characters argue, fight, split up, and one even rebelled. One was originally evil. Yet in the end they managed to overcome their weaknesses to do the right thing and save the two worlds. Digimon at times can be sad and dark but this only adds to the appeal, judging by the amount of fanfiction out there.
