Foreword:This adventure is inspired
by my skiing vacations in Geilo and Skei, Norway, and of course, one of my favorite
animated movies 'Balto'.
New York City, march 2002:Seven years
after the first animated movie with Balto was released, Balto fans rushed to
the 'Blockbuster' shop to either rent or buy the long awaited sequel to 'Balto',
meanwhile a group of kids from a local school was gathered by the statue to
hear their teacher tell the story about the famous hero from Nome again.
Nome, Alaska:The polar fox Tundi
had told his old friends Balto, Jenna, Muk and Luk so much about The White Wolf's
Cave up in the mountains, that they decided to find it one day, Boris was of
course not so wild about Balto's crazy ideas, but he had to follow his pal,
and give him good advises, many dogs had journeyed the long way to the cave
every winter, where they had told to about their blessings of The White Wolf
himself, that was a supernatural creature from the northern lights above. Steele,
who was left out in the cold, had left Nome, and moved to Nenana, Dixie and
Star was beloved, and Tundi, Balto and Jenna heard from the other dogs, that
the Bamboo Bears had came on a visit, and they was interested in joining them
on the long and dangerous journey to the legendary cave, that was located westward
by the big ocean, so Balto and his pals went out to Balto's old boat, where
they got greeted by Bamboli, his girlfriend Dailing, Slowli, and the female
dragon Ai Ai. The heroes planned their coming adventure in the wilderness, the
male Bamboo Bear and Dailing both got a google and a detailed map over Alaska,
and the dragon had a communicator, so they could contact their leader in the
case of an emergency. It was at the mid of the day, that Balto and his team
took out on their adventure, the sun was shining over the snowy landscape, the
Bamboo Bears was flying with Ai Ai, so they could tell the other animals about
the directions, and after a long wandering up to the mountain areas, the wanderers
held a break, then they continued, and met a squirrel and a moose, that would
help them showing the way to the cave, the two animals then joined the group.
Long up from the mountaintops, the animals saw the ocean, where the sun was
about to set, the traveling group enjoyed the fantastic view for a while, then
Balto found a cave that was big enough for them all, and where they could overnight.
The next morning, as the travelling animals came out from their cave, they saw
a flock of over hundred dogs on their way to the cave, it was beginning to snow,
there was a beautiful silence in the wilderness, and the view of the mountain,
where The White Wolf's Cave laid, was amazing. As the many animals entered the
cave, where a mysterious light lighted up the big room, where the howling was
loud, The White Wolf suddenly came out of the blue, the howling stopped, there
was a big silence, and The White Wolf greeted the flock with his telepatic voice.
The flock praised their lord, and The White Wolf told about prophercies, afterlife
experiences and journeys, and about the gods fight over the evil wolves from
the underworld, and as The White Wolf dissapeared, and everything turned normal,
Balto and his friends thought it all was just a strange dream. On their way
home, a big blizzard surprised them, the dragon and Slowli quickly made a big
hole, where they could get shelter, Muk and Luk nearly got lost, but they soon
found their group, and as the sudden blizzard calmed down, they continued their
long wandering, as the sun came and lighted up the wilderness. As the travelling
heroes came home to Balto's boat, near the evening, Nikki, Kaltag, Star, Dixie
and Sylvia greeted the tired but glad animals, who later on told about the amazing
story about the meeting with The White Wolf. The day after, Ai Ai blew up a
red, transparent and round weather giant balloon, Balto and his friends played
with in long time, and later that day, the Bamboo Bears, who thanked their friends
for a great adventure, flew home on the back of Ai Ai.
