Chapter 1: Packing
Shawn & Kari walked into the living room, where their 3 daughters were playing.
Allie & Yuriko (who were twins) were playing dress-up, while Nanami played
with Gatomon. "We should tell them." Kari whispered to Shawn.
"Girls, we have something to tell you." said Shawn. The girls all stopped
what they were doing. "Did we do something bad?" asked Yuriko. "No." said
Kari, laughing. "Is it something special?" asked Allie. "Yes." said
Shawn. "What is it?" asked Nanami. "We're going camping!" said
Shawn & Kari.
"Wow, cool!" cheered Allie & Yuriko. "What's camping?" asked
Nanami. "Camping is where you go out in the wild." explained Allie. "Yeah,
and you do fun stuff!" said Yuriko. "Sounds fun!" cheered Nanami. "We'll
be going to Arkansas for the trip." said Shawn. "We like the sound
of that." said Yuriko & Allie. "Can I come too?" asked Gatomon. "Sure
you can!" said Kari. "All right! I get to go." said Gatomon. "I'm
glad you're coming." said Nanami.
That night, they got packing, so they'd be ready to go the next day.
End of Chapter 1
Chapter 2: The Drive, and a Good Spot
The next morning, the family, all packed and ready to go, got into the car
and drove off to their destination.
It was a long ride, and the girls were getting restless. They kept bothering
their parents by complaining, "Are we there yet?". After some time,
Shawn & Kari had some games for the girls to play with so they wouldn't
get bored. "Finally." said Shawn. "Now we've got something to
keep them busy." said Kari. After playing, the girls got tired and fell
asleep. Allie and Yuriko slept next to each other, and Nanami slept with Gatomon
on her lap. "They're so sweet." said Shawn. Kari giggled.
Finally, they got to their spot. "Girls, wake up. We're here." said
Kari. The girls woke up. "About time!" exclaimed Nanami. "We're
ready." said Allie. "This will be fun!" said Yuriko. "Wilderness,
here we come!" said Gatomon.
After getting out of the car, they all looked for a good spot. Eventually,
they found a nice spot by the lake. "This is beautiful!" said Kari. "It's
the perfect spot!" said Shawn. So, eventually, the set up their camp.
Kari noticed Gatomon and the girls missing. "Oh my goodness, where are
they?!" she said, freaking out. "Don't worry, they're fine." said
Shawn, pointing to the four of them, playing tag by nearby trees. Kari let
out a sigh of relief.
This was going to be an exciting trip for them.
End of Chapter 2
Chapter 3: The Usual Stuff.. and something unusual
The rest of the day, Shawn, Kari, Allie, Yuriko, Nanami, and Gatomon had fun
doing the stuff you usually do while camping.
Shawn went fishing, and Gatomon went with him. "Glad you took me, you
know how I love fish!" said Gatomon. "I know I do." said Shawn.
The two had fun, and they caught a lot of fish (much to Gatomon's pleasure).
Kari took the girls swimming in the lake. Allie & Yuriko had fun splashing
in the water, but Nanami was a little nervous. "C'mon, Nanami!" said
Allie. "Hey, the water's fine!" said Yuriko. "I don't know." said
Nanami. "Here, Nanami, it won't hurt." said Kari, so she took her
into the water. "See? Nothing bad." said Kari. "Hey, this is
fun!" said Nanami. So it was fun.
Later, the 6 of them went on a nature walk and saw a lot of interesting plants
and animals, some kind of scared Allie, Yuriko, and Nanami, while some they
enjoyed.
That night, they were going to have toasted marshmallows. "Who wants marshmallows?" said
Shawn. "Oh, I do!" everyone said. "OK, here you go!" said
Shawn, smiling. Then suddenly, a strange gust of wind blew out the campfire
and an odd moaning was heard. Allie, Yuriko, and Nanami were so scared, they
hid behind Shawn and Kari.
"What was that?" asked Kari. "I don't know..." said Shawn.
End of Chapter 3
Chapter 4: Discovery
Shawn, Kari, and Gatomon were still trying to calm Allie, Yuriko, and Nanami
down after that frightening experience.
"That was really weird." said Gatomon. "I don't know what all
of that was about." said Kari. "Me either, but that was crazy." said
Shawn. "Mommy, Daddy, we're still scared." said Nanami. "Now I'm
going to have nightmares." said Yuriko. "I don't know if this trip
was a good idea." said Allie.
"It's OK." said Shawn. "Now calm down, you 3." said Kari. "How
about a walk around the lake and look at the stars?" suggested Gatomon. "Thanks,
that should calm them down." said Kari. "Good idea." said Shawn.
So, the 6 of them walked around the lake, looking at everything, and they lied
down in a nice little spot and watched the stars. "We feel better now." said
Yuriko. "This is so relaxing." said Allie. "I don't feel so
scared anymore." said Nanami. "Good for you..." said an odd
voice. The girls got scared. "Oh, no!" said Kari & Gatomon. "Who's
that?" said Shawn, as the wind got strong.
Suddenly, a girl in a white dress, with long dark hair and dark brown eyes
stood before them. "Me..." she said.
End of Chapter 4
Chapter 5: The Ghost's Story
"Who are you?" said Kari, holding the girls close to her. "I am..
a ghost... named Rosetta." said the girl.
"Rosetta?" Shawn asked. "Yes, that's me." said Rosetta. "You're
a real ghost?" asked Allie. "I'm getting really scared." said
Nanami, trying to hide. "So am I." said Yuriko. "What happened
to you?" asked Gatomon.
"I was a happy young woman, happy with my beloved Sergio." said Rosetta. "Sergio?" said
Yuriko, confused. "Quiet." said Allie. "Quiet, both of you." said
Kari. "Sergio and I were a happy young pair, deeply in love, caring for
each other, and hoping the best for each other.." continued Rosetta. "Then
what happened?" Shawn asked. "It was on a cold winter night. We were
walking around here, and suddenly we got lost. We tried to keep ourselves warm,
but we both froze to death." said Rosetta.
"Wow, that's very sad." said Gatomon. "Poor Rosetta." said
Allie. "I want to go to heaven and be with him, but I can't." said
Rosetta. "Why?" asked Kari. "A ritual dance must be performed." answered
Rosetta. "We... have to dance?" said Shawn. "That's true." Rosetta
said.
"Well, let's get to work then.." said Gatomon.
End of Chapter 5
Chapter 6: Ritual Dancing
"How does this dance go?" asked Kari. "It goes that you move to
the left and then to the right. The you spin around three times and hop a couple
of times, and it ends with clapping together." said Rosetta.
"We'd better get it right." said Shawn. So, they practiced. The first
time they tried, Shawn & Kari tripped each other by accident. "How are
we supposed to do this?" said Kari. "We'll do it right, I'm sure of
it." said Shawn. Rosetta looked unhappy about it.
The second time they tried, Allie & Yuriko stepped on each other's feet
and Gatomon accidentally punched Nanami. "Ow, that hurt!" yelled
Allie. "Sorry." said Yuriko. "Gatomon, why did you do that?" said
Nanami. "Sorry, got too into it." said Gatomon. Rosetta sighed.
"OK, we got it." said Kari. "We're gonna get it this time." said
Shawn. So, the third time they tried, they moved to the left and to the right,
spun around three times, hopped a couple of times, and clapped together.
Suddenly, there was a ray of light, and a man dressed in white, with black
hair and gray eyes appeared. "Sergio?" asked Rosetta. "Rosetta,
my love." said Sergio. "I'm so glad to see you again." said
Rosetta. "Now we can go to Heaven together." said Sergio. He looked
at Shawn, Kari, and the others and said, "Thank you for reuniting us." As
they left for Heaven, Rosetta looked at them smiled, and said "Thank you." as
they vanished into light.
"Such a sweet ending." said Kari. "I love a happy ending." said
Shawn. They both looked and saw Gatomon and the girls sleeping.
