(this fanfic takes place in the Digimon universe based on the video games by Wonderswan rather than the actual tv series. Therefore it has a different outcome)
Part 1
Shawn McCarthy and Mimi Tachikawa. One of the cutest couples of Animated
Lust, the other ALians thought. Shawn loved Mimi as far as he could remember
and Mimi liked Shawn a lot. But one night, a wonderful thing happened.
They went out to dinner and went to the movies afterward. After the movie,
they went on a romantic stroll and sat on a bench. Shawn said "Mimi, you
are very special to me." "I love you a lot, too Shawn." said
Mimi. In pleasure, Shawn got off the bench and kneeled down in front of Mimi,
presenting a ring. Mimi looked surprised. "Mimi, it's time I popped the
question." Shawn said. "What do you mean?" Mimi said, confused.
Shawn replied "Mimi, I love you. Will you... marry me?". Mimi looked
at him with tears in her eyes and said "Shawn... YES!!"
Shawn was so happy when Mimi accepted his proposal, so they hugged and kissed. "Mimi,
I am so pleased about this." Shawn said to her. "Oh, Shawn, it's
lovely. I can't wait until we tell the others!" Mimi said. "Let's
tell them tomorrow." Shawn said, and the two walked home in happiness...
Part 2: Telling the Others
The next day, Shawn told the other ALians about his big news. "Guys, I
have something to tell you... Mimi and I are getting married." he announced.
Everyone cheered. "That's wonderful buddy!" Bluefox said. "We're
so proud of you!" applescruffs and Lord Kitsune cheered. "You must
feel very happy!" Sher said in happiness. "Shawn, I am very, very
happy for your big news." Kat told him. "Thank you all!" said
Shawn, but he then thought "I wonder how Mimi's doing?"
Meanwhile, Mimi told her parents. "Mom, Dad, I've got something to tell
you... Shawn and I are getting married." "Oh, that's wonderful, darling!" Mimi's
mom said in joy. "What?!" her father said. Mimi's mother hit Mimi's
father in the shoulder and he then said "Oh, yes, sorry. That's great
news!" "Now I've gotta tell my friends!" Mimi said.
Later, Mimi told her friends and their Digimon about her big news. They were
all very happy. "I'm happy the most!" Palmon said in joy. "We
are so proud of you." Tai said. "It's great." Matt said. "We
can't wait!" T.K. & Kari said. "I wanna be a bridesmaid!" Sora
said. "We can help!" Izzy and Joe said. Their Digimon all cheered.
Now, plans were underway...
Part 3: Preparations
Soon afterwards, Shawn and Mimi started thinking about their wedding. "When
do you think we should get married?" Shawn asked. "I think in early
spring... when the air is lovely and the flowers are blooming nicely.." Mimi
replied. "Very nice. Then it's settled, we'll be married in springtime." Shawn
agreed. The two felt wonder in their hearts.
But, Mimi's father hadn't been taking it well. "What's the matter, dear?" Mrs.
Tachikawa asked. "It just doesn't feel right. Her marrying HIM?" Mr.
Tachikawa said, almost angrily. "Don't worry dear, everything will be
fine, what matters is that they love each other." Mrs. Tachikawa said. "If
you say so..." Mr. Tachikawa said, almost disappointed. He really wasn't
taking it well...
Eventually, matters got worse: Some villains had heard about it. "Oh,
yes, it will be perfect." Queen Beryl said. "We will have a fun time
ruining this wedding, my dear. Things willbe best now that we've teamed up." Devimon
said to her. "We, your most loyal servants will do our best to help." Arukenimon
and Mummymon said. "Be sure to do your best.." said Queen Beryl. "AND
DON'T MESS IT UP!!" yelled Devimon in anger. "Yes, masters." Mummymon
and Arukenimon said in fear. Now, thinges we going to get ugly...
Part 4: Parties
Soon before you knew it, Shawn had a bachelor party while Mimi had a bridal
shower.
Shawn's bachelor party went nicely (nobody got drunk, fortunately). All of
Shawn's friends had attended the party and had a good time. "Thanks, all
of you" Shawn said. "Congratulations, Shawn!" everyone cheered.
Shawn was proud and he got gifts from friends and he was very tired afterwards.
Mimi's bridal shower went nicely too (nobody got drunk either). All of Mimi's
friends attended the party and had a good time. "Thank you all!" Mimi
said, cheerfully. "Congratulations, Mimi!" everyone cheered. Mimi
was delighted and she got gifts from friends and she was tired afterwards.
So, their parties went well that night.
Part 5: Shopping
Eventually, Shawn went tuxedo shopping with Matt and Tai, while Mimi went gown
shopping with Sora and Kari.
The tuxedo shopping went a bit mixed. "Which one seems suitable?" Shawn
asked. "How about this blue one?" Tai asked. Shawn tried it on, and
it was too short. "It feels too tight." Shawn replied. "This
gray one looks nice." Matt said. Shawn tried it on and it was too long. "It
feels like I'm shrinking!" Shawn yelled. "That one looks great!" Tai
and Matt said, looking at a half-black half-white one. Shawn tried it on, and
it was a good fit. "It's a perfect fit!" Shawn said. Now that went
well.
The gown shopping was also mixed. "Which one looks best?" Mimi asked. "How
about this lacy one?" Kari asked. Mimi tried it on, and it was too loose. "It's
gonna fall off me." Mimi replied. "This silk one looks pretty." Sora
said. Mimi tried it on, and it was too tight. "Oh my goodness, I can't
breathe!" Mimi yelled. "That one looks perfect!" Kari and Sora
said, looking a long, pinkish one. Mimi tried it on, and it was a perfect fit. "I
feel like a princess!" Mimi said. The shopping went successful.
So, now those were done and they had more to do.
Part 6: Day Before the Wedding
Some time went by, and soon before you knew it, it was the day before the wedding.
Shawn felt excited, but nervous. "What's the matter?" Davis asked. "I'm
nervous. "Why are you nervous?" Yolei asked. "I just don't know
if my life together with Mimi will go out well." Shawn groaned. "No
need to worry, you two will be very happy together. All your friends and their
lusts will be there too,and they're very happy for you." Cody said. "Yeah,
you'll have nothing to worry about." Ken said. "Thanks guys, you've
given me a positive attitude." Shawn said. "Anytime, buddy." said
Davis.
Mimi was doing well about it. "Mimi, your father's depressed, why don't
you talk to him?" her mother asked. "OK." Mimi said. Mimi walked
into the living room and saw her father, and said "Dad, what's wrong?" "Mimi,
I'm worried about you getting married." her father said. "Dad, you
don't need to worry." Mimi said. "Shawn's a nice guy and he'll never
let anything happen to me and will never do anything horrible to me either." "Really?" her
father said. "Really. He and I will be very happy together and you and
Mom won't have anything to worry about." Mimi said. "Thanks for comforting
me." her dad said, and they hugged.
Meanwhile, Queen Beryl and Devimon were watching through Queen Beryl's crystal
ball. "So the wedding's tomorrow. This should be good." Devimon said. "Soon,
those two lovebirds will have a wrecked wedding." said Queen Beryl. "And
we'll be there to watch." Arukenimon and Mummymon said. Oh no...
Part 7: The Big Day
Soon, the day of the wedding came. They got a caterer, a band, and a minister,
and they got a nice place to have their wedding. Everyone came with their lusts,
wanting to watch the lovely occassion.
Shawn and Mimi were getting ready in their rooms and waiting for the time to
begin, wanting to see each other (as it's bad luck for the bride and groom
to see each other before the wedding). "Shawn, you look great." Ratphlegm
said. "I wish you luck." Lord Kitsune said. "Yes, I am ready." Shawn
said. "You look lovely!" applescruffs said to Mimi. "I feel
so happy for you." Bluefox cheered. "I wish you good luck." Kat
said to her. "Thanks guys." Mimi said.
Soon, in the other room, everyone waited. Shawn stood with the minister and
watched Mimi walking down the aisle with her father. Mimi's mother was crying
as Mimi walked by and said "They grow up so fast." The ceremony would
now begin. The minister began, "Everyone, we are here today for..." then
he stopped when he heard a crash.
Mummymon and Arukenimon appeared and said "Did you forget us? We didn't
get our invitations." Then Devimon and Queen Beryl showed up. "Sorry
we're late." Queen Beryl said. "We're just getting ready to ruin
this wedding!" Devimon said, and he and Queen Beryl laughed evilly. Now
the people needed to save this wedding...
Part 8: The Wedding Crashers
Devimon and Queen Beryl had come to crash the wedding and they started wrecking
everything, while everyone started freaking out.
"Oh no, they're ruining our time!" Mimi cried. "We've got to stop
them!" Shawn said. "Get 'em, Edward!" applescruffs said. "Sure
thing!" Ed said, using his alchemy, but it hardly scratched them. Gantu,
Spike, and Sailor Venus also joined in and started fighting. "Is that the
best you can do?" Devimon said. "You are all weaklings." taunted
Queen Beryl. "You're not ruining our wedding!" Mimi said. "Let's
team up our Digimon!" Tai said. They all Digivolved and teamed with the
characters. "What's this?!" Devimon said, freaking out. "It...
it can't be!!" Queen Beryl exclaimed. The Digimon and all theother characters
teamed up and launched one large attack. "This is the power of love!" Shawn
and Mimi shouted, and with the attacked, Devimon and Queen Beryl were defeated.
Mummymon and Arukenimon woke up and saw everyone staring at them. "Uh,
I guess we picked a bad occassion to ruin!" Mummymon said, nervously. "Let's
get going!" Arukenimon, also nervous, said, and theyboth ran out in fear.
The place was totaled. Everybody groaned. "Don't worry, we can all pitch
in and help!" Kat said. "Great idea!" everyone said. "If
we get it done faster, we can get married tomorrow!" Shawn exclaimed. "Great!" Mimi
said in happiness. So, everyone managed to fix up the place so the wedding
could be done by tomorrow.
Part 9: A Lovely Moment
By the next day, everything was fixed and the wedding would occur (without
any problems). Everybody and their lusts came and watched young T.K (the ring-bearer),
young Kari (the flower girl) and Mimi come down the aisle.
The minister said "Everyone, we are here today to join these two in holy
matrimony. May I have the rings please?" So, Shawn and Mimi got their
rings. "Shawn, place this ring on Mimi's finger and say 'with this ring,
I be wed'." the minister said. "With this ring, I be wed." Shawn
said, as he put the ring on Mimi's finger. The minister then said "Mimi,
place this ring on Shawn's finger and say 'with this ring, I be wed'." "With
this ring, I be wed'." Mimi said as she put the ring on Shawn's finger.
The minister asked Shawn, "Shawn, do you take Mimi to be your lawfully
wedded wife, to have and to hold, to honor and to cherish, for better or for
worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health, as long as you both
shall live?" "I do." Shawn answered. The minister asked Mimi, "Mimi,
do you take Shawn to be your lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold,
to honor and to cherish, for better or for worse, for richer or poorer, in
sickness and in health, as long as you both shall live?" "I do." Mimi
answered.
The minister declared, "I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may
kiss the bride." And as Shawn and Mimi kissed, everybody cheered.
Part 10: Happily Ever After
That night, they had a party for Shawn and Mimi to celebrate their marriage.
Kat clinked her glass to get everyone's attention. "I propose a toast
to Shawn and Mimi." she said, and everybody cheered. "We thank you
all." Shawn said. "And we're so happy." Mimi said. And then
they both said, "NOW, LET'S PARTY!!"
Everybody danced (Shawn & Mimi went first, dancing to "their song"),
eating cake (Shawn and Mimi had fun smushing it in each other's faces), and
everything else to do at a wedding party.
Everybody went outside and watched Shawn & Mimi walk out to their limo
(on the back, it said "Just Married", with cans attached to it by
strings). As they got inside the car, Mimi tossed the boquet and Kari caught
it. Everybody waved goodbye to Shawn and Mimi, as Shawn and Mimi waved back
as they drove out of sight.
