~ Three is Company ~ Home | Fanfic by author and show This site is hosted by DrakNet Danger Mouse went his rounds through the foggy morning in London. From Baker Street he walked, dressed in a dark trech coat to avoid being spotted by the Baron. It wasn't as busy as usual down the city. Usually, bums and beggars would loiter around the shadowy corners, limping to penny pinchers and mourning about how they need money for food and clothes. There would be sirens going off every few minutes, and that would end DM's anti-stressing walk. Blokes in the market place would loudly boast about their products and cunningly convince passerby's for a sale. Cars would honk angrily at each other, or drivers would bellow things many wish they didn't have to hear. But today, it was just silent. It began to worry DM because this was very strange. 'Something is not right,' he thought. Indeed, although the unusual still morning had nothing to do with what was to happen just moments in front of the detective of Bakerstreet. For as he continued on his way into an empty parking lot, he heard a clamorous noise that shot through the city. "What in blazes--?!" The white wonder gasps. He follows the sound to around a corner, where he saw the gigantic Frog's Head Flyer that was piloted by none other than Baron Silice Green Back, his worse encounter. Flames rose from nearby trees and plants, and a small crater was left in the concrete. DM flew out of his trench coat and leaped to the center of the alley. Greenback didn't notice him running around below and took off above the buildings and into the dim sky. 'What the heck is going on?' he thought to himself. But he found his answer when he happened to notice something white and furry, glowing against the dark road. It wasn't moving at all. DM approached and had full view of it. It was a female mouse, with her clothes battered and almost all torn. "Miss?!" She didn't move at all. He brought his ear to her heart to make sure she was still alive. There was a heartbeat. She had some serious cuts on her arms, legs, and on her sides. In his arms he carried the mysterious girl to his HQ where she will find remedy. Back at the pillar box, DM took no time to enter through the garage door. He rushed in through the side of the pillar box. Her only comfort would have to be upon the very soft surface of DM's bed. After laying her down, he took out a remedy kit and began to apply anti-paroxide on the wounds. They weren't serious enough to need stitches. He wrapped her arms and legs with bandages and it stopped the bleeding eventually. "Danger Mouse," Penfold spoke from the doorway, "Why's that girl doing in here." "I found her beaten by Green Back, Penfold. I need to help her." "Couldn't you have just taken her to a hospital." "She would never've made it." "But bring her in here? In our hideout? She could be the Baron's spy!" "She's harmless, Penfold. Now... just hush and go get some blankets or something." "Cor! Rotten 'eck!." Penfold mumbled as he staggered away. The girl began to come to. Her eyes traced around the room and then locked on DM. Her mouth dropped open in startle to see the detective. "Danger Mouse?!" "Yes." "Where am I? What happened?" "Green back. He...." "Agh! I knew it! That slimy wretched warted......." The girl didn't seem native to England because she spoke the American language. "You're an American." "Yes. And don't give me any stupid American jokes like the Colonel did, neither." "Colonel?" "Yeah. Colonel K. Didn't he tell you? I'm your new assistant." "What?! No way!" Danger Mouse was skeptical to her surprising news. He called C.K. and after he had asked about this, it was affirmative. "What's your name?" "My name is Laura Maydren." They carried on talking, leaving Penfold completely out of the conversation. Penfold suddenly became upset, and wanted to say something about it, but before he could utter a word, the alarm went off, and there on the screen appeared the colonel. A mission is to be completed.
