Narration: On the last part of Digimon: Digital Monsters Riako Attacks, Riako finally realized that the same person that he came to destroy was his older sister, Rika. But nevertheless he continued his attack. Although her friends tried to assist her, Crystalmon beat them. Renamon, who was the only one high on energy, fought with Crystalmon. Although they seem to be evenly matched, Riako made one grave mistake…he attacked and hurt Rika.
Seeing this, Renamon snapped and defeated Crystalmon.

Soon after that battle, Renamon, fought with Riako. Because Crystalmon had already weakened her, she let her guard down to rest, giving Riako enough time to charge up for his most deadly attack the “Chaos Flare”. It looked like it was the end of Renamon, but fortunately for her, Rika awoke from her unconscious state and provided Renamon with a frost shield. It worked, for the moment. Although the shield blocked the blast, it exploded causing Renamon to fall into the ground knocking her out.

Seeing this, Takato and his digimon Guilmon, got up and soon bio-merge digivolved into Gallantmon. Now the final Part of the My Brother’s Keeper series begins.

Chapter 1: The Truth Is Revealed.

Anger… sadness… pain…mistrust… and confusion. These are the emotions that are flying through the air, and why? Because one fourteen year old boy was mislead onto the path of evil. A path that cannot be walked out of alone, but who will be able to walk you out of the path of evil? This is a question that only Riako will be able to answer. But choosing this path comes with a great consequence. What is that consequence? Riako will soon learn the answer to that question the hard way.

In the middle of Japan, a large battle is brewing.

“So, Gallantmon. You’re the mighty Digimon that defeated most of the D-Reaper’s minions.” Riako chuckled, “All you are, is some sixteen year old boy, and his retarded Digimon that doesn’t even say your name right half the time.”

“What, why you no good…how dare you insult us like that! Who do you think you are to talk down to us like that?” Takato yelled angrily.

“If you’re so mad, why don’t you put your anger to use…and come at me with everything you have! Because I am going to attack first! Riako yelled charging at Gallantmon at full speed.

“I guess the D-Reaper blinded you from the truth so much, that you don’t even realize that you’re being mislead. Then I have no choice but to force you to see the light! Prepare yourself! Gallantmon yelled also running at full speed towards his enemy.

They both ran at top speed hoping to outrun one another. But nether of them backed down. They both were about to ram into each other, finally they slammed their bodies into each other letting out a large deafening sound.

Inside the Nonaka home, Rika’s mother wonders why she didn’t come home yet. She sighed, “Oh Rika, you’ve been gone for three hours now, where could you be for so long? I hope that there wasn’t anything that upset her.” She thought heavily for fifteen minutes, until she thought, “Wait a second, Rika has been in her room for a long time before she left. I bet there was something in there that upset her.”

She got up and walked towards Rika’s room. She opened the door and turned on the light. Looking around, she saw Rika’s dresser, walking towards it she reached out and opened the first part of the dresser, in it were shirts. Then the second one, socks. Third one, a lot of Jeans. She held her breath on the fourth and last dresser, hoping to find something that would help her find the answer. She opened it, nothing but a ton of Digimon Trading Cards.

She chuckled, thinking that her sixteen-year-old daughter was still playing with trading cards. Then she soon became sad, knowing that she’ll never find the problem that was aching her daughter. Then she found something interesting, one of the cards were a different size. She reached into the draw pulling out the unidentified card, only to realize that it wasn’t a card, it was a picture. She pulled it out gently. She couldn’t believe her eyes, it was a picture taken five years ago, of Rika and a younger boy. She couldn’t recognize his face until one name came to mind, “Riako.” Her eyes started to become cloudy; she never thought she’d see that picture again. She thought, “I can’t believe it! I could have guaranteed that all the pictures of you were given away.” She raised the picture up into the sunlight, so she could get a clear view of it, but right when she was about to see it, there was an explosion that shook the entire house. “What was that?” She asked.

A bright light was shining from the two warriors, when they collided into each other their arms push on one another trying to overcome the other. Riako yelled, “Why do you insist on helping this girl? She’s the one who is the traitor!”

Gallantmon had enough of Riako, speaking insultingly of Rika. So he had a shield grow from his left arm, and used it to knock Riako off of him, making Riako hit the ground. Gallantmon then used his shield to push down on Riako making him unable to move. “Now…tell me what makes you think Rika betrayed you.” Gallantmon said.

“Well…that’s none of your business! That information is for me, and me alone!” Riako yelled. After saying that, he grabbed the sides of Gallantmon’s shield, sending a flame surge through it. The flame then traveled through the shield to Gallantmon’s body, making him yell with pain. Because Gallantmon was distracted from the attack, Riako took advantage, and threw another flame blast that knocked Gallantmon into the air.

Riako got up and laughed, “Well Gallantmon, as they say, what goes up, must come down.” And almost instantly Gallantmon fell, hitting the ground with a loud **thump**. Riako put his foot down onto Gallantmon’s stomach, looking with delight knowing that he defeated a mega-level digimon, with his own two hands, but that joy quickly turned into antipathy. He raised his hands, charging up his attack. “Now you must be obliterated. I must say, that you gave me quite a challenge. I can tell that you weren’t trying your best to win, a mistake that you will regret.” His attack was now fully charged. He yelled, “Farewell, Gallantmon! Chaos Destroyer!”

“No, stop! You don’t know what your doing!” Gallantmon pleaded.

“I know exactly what I’m doing!” Riako yelled.

The beam was right about to fire, and destroy its target, but right when Riako was ready for the explosion, Renamon came out and kicked him in his cheek, making Riako fall backwards. Riako staggered getting up but was taken off guard, he wasn’t ready for Rika when she tackled Riako down, holding him so he couldn’t get up.

The D-Reaper half of Riako was completely annoyed with the fact that Riako failed to finish the job that she herself could not do. She spoke in Riako’s mind, “Why are you not winning? Ever since I bio-merged with you, your natural abilities were increased, ten times! You can’t be losing now! You shouldn’t be losing ever!” She yelled.

Ignoring his master’s exclamation, he yelled, “Fine, Rika! If you really want to know what happened that day, then have it your way. I’ll never forget that day ten years ago, the day when the portal opened up and tried to suck everything into it. You were always jealous of me, because I’ve gotten all the attention. I got caught in the vortex. You pretended to try to pull me back in. I will never forget the look you gave me right before you let go of me, on purpose, as I flew into the vortex!” Riako explained.

Rika was stunned, “That’s not what happened!”

“Liar! I will never forget it! Now get off of me!” Riako yelled. He pushed Rika off of him making her hit the ground.

Riako stood up saying, “Now is your day of death, Rika Nonaka! Now it’s time for you to be eliminated!” Riako grabbed Rika’s neck, lifting her up into the air, throttling her. She felt like she was suffocating, she knew that if her friends couldn’t stop him, she was done for. Renamon tried to stop him, but was stopped herself when Riako blasted her. Even Gallantmon tried to stop him. Riako looked back and raised his arm up yelled “Chaos Flare!” The flame came out and surrounded Gallantmon’s body making him yell with pain. The force of the attack split Gallantmon back to Takato and Guilmon.

“Now that you don’t have your friends to help you anymore, you will die here and now!” Riako said.

Right when he was going to completely crush Rika’s neck, Riako’s arm felt a burning sensation go right through his left forearm. Dropping Rika, he grabbed his hand yelling in pain. Riako looked to see who did this to him; he saw a small purple digimon with a red bandana with a wicked yellow smiley face on it. The digimon spook, “No one does that to my friends!”

Rika recognized the voice and spook out, “Impmon! It’s really you!”

“Yup, it’s me all right toots. And I’m going teach this cream puff some manners!” Impmon said.

Riako was quite annoyed with Impmon for burning his arm. He yelled, “Cream puff? Look who talking, what could a little punk like you do?”

“Ya don’t expect much from a little guy like me do ya? Well think fast!” Impmon yelled throwing a fireball at Riako.

Riako thought that the ball that Impmon threw was just a weak attempt to beat him, so he raised his right hand to grab it. Riako expected to grab it, but he soon remembered the burn on his arm. So he threw a fraction of his energy out of his hand, and it put the fireball out.

      Riako yelled,  “Chaos Flare!”

The large flame emerged from Riako’s right hand, and flew towards Impmon. Surrounding his body, Impmon screamed from the intense heat, then fell flat onto the ground.

Impmon’s body was roasted. He laid on the ground motionless. Riako laughed, “That’ll teach you to mess with someone bigger than you.” He turned towards Rika, ready to finish what he started, only to find that she was gone. Riako looked around to see where she had ran away. He spotted her running towards Renamon ready to recover her using a card. “Oh no you don’t. You’re not going anywhere, Rika!” Riako said. He ran at Rika at full speed ready to tackle her, but there was one thing that he forgot.

“Hey! Don’t forget about us!” Gallantmon yelled slamming into Riako. Riako fell onto the ground hard.

Riako yelled, “How dare you!” He got up and said, “Now I’ll finish you… oouahh!” Riako was interrupted by Terriermon’s bunny blast attack. Behind Terriermon, Guardromon readied his attack, “Now without any interruptions, Guardian Barrage!” He raised both of his arms up, and two missiles came out of them and launched towards Riako. The missiles hit their target, making Riako fall onto the ground again.

Weakened by the barrage of attacks made by Gallantmon’s friends, Riako was now too weak to get back up. His arms were straining too much for him to get up. Gallantmon knew in his heart that unless he used his most powerful attack now, they would never be able to help Riako get rid of the D-Reaper. So he thought, “Rika, please forgive me for what I must do. You and I both know that Riako is far too powerful with the D-Reaper bio-merged with him. So now I must do this.” Gallantmon raised his shield, and threw all his energy into it, then the shield started to glow a bright red, it grew brighter and brighter, until it was completely red.

Riako looked up to see what his enemy was about to pull off, something inside of him made him think that this attack was far too powerful for even he could handle. The D-Reaper half of Riako yelled in his mind, “You no good human! I gave you power, a passage to the real world, and given your digimon power. And this is how you repay me! You get yourself torn apart by these creeps; I’m ashamed to be Bio-merged with you.

Rika cared to Renamon, making sure that she was fully recovered. Rika looked to see if Riako was doing any more damage, but to her surprise, he was losing. Rika was glad to see that now Riako would be able to De-Bio-merge with the D-Reaper. But then Rika saw that Gallantmon was going to use his deadliest attack. “Gallantmon stop! He is already beaten. You don’t have to use that attack!” Rika yelled.

Riako heard what Rika said. His expression changed, “This isn’t the same girl that you told me about. Actually, now I’m beginning to believe that you stretched the truth about what happened a lot.”

The D-Reaper growled at Riako, “Why you disrespectful little maggot! I was telling the whole entire truth about what happened!

Riako replied, “Then how come when I tried to get close to Rika when I found her, you had to bring up those horrible memories. Now I’m starting to believe that you were telling me a lie from the get go!”

The D-Reaper knew that he was going to find out sooner or later. So she said, “You ruined my entire plan of revenge you little brat! Yes I was lying from the start. I was far too weak to fight the tamers again by myself. So I needed a human child to Bio-merge with, so I could still use my energy, but wouldn’t have to worry about getting myself injured. About five years ago, when I was at the peak of my power, I scanned your sister. When I did that, I learned that Rika Nonaka had a younger brother, but he was missing.
Then when I found you in the digital world, I knew that I would get my revenge on the tamers.

“But you knew I wouldn’t have Bio-merged with you, if you told me exactly why. So you lied!” Riako’s expression changed from soft to hard.

“I told you that if you Bio-merged with me, I’d take you back to the real world. And give Crystalmon enough energy to follow us. So I took the form of a digimon, to make myself a little trust worthier, so when you did bio-merge with me, I brainwashed you, so you’d think that Rika somehow betrayed you in the past. So not only would I be controlling you to destroy the tamers, you would want to destroy them.” The D-Reaper explained.

Riako couldn’t believe it, this whole kick on revenge, was a lie made by the D-Reaper. Gallantmon spoke out to Riako, “I am sorry to do this, but I must! Prepare yourself! Shield of the Just!” Gallantmon yelled. The light shot out Gallantmon’s shield towards its target. Rika tried to run towards Riako, but was stopped by Renamon. “No no, let go Renamon! Please!” Rika pleaded.

“I’m sorry Rika but I can’t do that. You’ll kill yourself!” Renamon said constricting Rika with her arms.

“I don’t care! He’s my little brother, I can’t let Gallantmon do this!” Rika yelled struggling to get loose.

“Forgive me Rika, I can’t!” Renamon said.

Riako saw the beam coming towards him, and he knew that even he couldn’t take this attack. So he said to the D-Reaper, “Now you will pay for your deception, good-bye, D-Reaper!” Riako said. The beam hit, a loud deafening sound was made by it, and Rika screamed her brother’s name, knowing that the blast probably killed him. The force of the blast separated Riako from the D-Reaper inside the explosion, and the D-Reaper was destroyed, but Riako…

The smoke diminished and the D-Reaper was gone, for good, but Riako’s body was severely burned. Without the influence of the D-Reaper, Riako shrunk back to his original size. Rika ran towards her brother expecting the worst. She held him in her arms thinking that he was dead, but surprisingly he was still breathing. Riako slowly opened his eyes, although blurry his vision slowly regained it’s quality until he soon saw the face of Rika. Takato suggested that they give the two siblings some time to themselves. So Henry, Kazu, and Takato, left with their digimon beside them.

Renamon was walking away as well until Rika asked her to say and look for Crystalmon. She agreed and started looking. Rika turned to her brother who was looking back at her. Riako said, “Look Rika I don’t know what to say but I’m…I…well (sigh)” He couldn’t get the words out of his mouth. Rika gently put her hand on his mouth to stop him.

“I know, Riako. You don’t have to say it. I just have to say that I am very happy to see you again, and that I love you.” Rika said.

They hugged each other knowing that after ten years, they finally found each other.
Riako looked at Rika, thinking that after everything he’s done, she still loves him. And Rika looked at Riako, thinking that no matter how hard, or how bad the situation is, she will always be, her brother’s keeper.

                                                         The End

The Epilogue:

Hi guys, this is Riako speaking. Now that I’m not with the D-Reaper anymore, I’ll tell you what happened a month later, when I got rid of the D-Reaper. First, Renamon finally found Crystalmon; he was brought back to the tamers old meeting spot in Shinjuku Park. I was happy; I had my sister, my digimon, and a few friends. Unfortunately, like the old TV shows about digimon, the first season, T.K. was the youngest of the group. Like T.K. I’m the youngest of our group (sigh), and because of that, I’m occasionally bossed. Thankfully because Rika’s around, she will only let the bossing get to an extent, but because she is my older sister she does most of the bossing.

I sooner or later had to see my mother and grandmother, so they’ll know I’m still alive and well. Rika was behind me every step of the way, holding my hand. I was stiff when I got to the door I couldn’t move. Rika rubbed my shoulder, telling me to wait on the doorway. She went in and went to where mom and grandma were. Rika told them that she wanted to show them someone, I could hear them teasing her; thinking that the person was a boyfriend. When Rika came out, she said it was a good time for me to come in now. She gently held my hand leading me inside the house. When they saw who it was, they were stunned. Mom stood up and slowly walked towards me. She gently touched my cheek to see if I was a dream, or real. When mom realized I was real, she hugged me tightly, crying her eyes out. Grandma followed her, also hugging me, crying. I tried to hold my tears back, but I failed, soon I was crying. Even Rika started to cry. Soon we all were crying, and hugging. Now not only have I found my digimon, friends, and my sister, I have my whole family again.

Rika was very kind to me, but after the first month or so, she was back to her old self again. It was good while it lasted. Takato introduced me to his friend Jeri, she’s very nice, and cute too, and tall. Henry showed me, his little sister. She looks like she’s eight yrs old. Rika finally showed me how to play the very popular digimon card game. Things just seem to be normal for now. Well see ya later guys, the other and I are gonna go to the beach. Bye. Oh, and Impmon’s doing fine.

This is only the end of my story, not the whole series with Riako. Now I’m going to make a mini-series of Digimon, with all the tamers and Riako in the future. Bye now.
