You Know You're an Animated Lust Fanatic When...

This was an idea ~ and inspiration ~ from Steph*. She offered it to us on the forum, and some others joined in. If you have your own ideas, come to the forum and share them with us, and I'll add them here, too!

As Steph* says, without further ado, here we go:

You Know You're an Animated Lust Fanatic When...

* You sit and watch your favorite 'toons with pen and paper handy to write down some good quotes from the characters to send in for their Character Pages

* You check the forum several times a day to see what's the new discussion or just to reply and talk to the other obsessed fans!

* You actually see new animated movies, all the while thinking, "Lets see... who'll be the new addition to my harem..."

* You have a harem...

* Whenever anyone mentions Spike on the forum, you automatically look at the following messages to see if Kat replied...

* Your "I'm going to check my e-mail real quick" includes a trip to the forum

* You instinctively check for new stuff at AL every day, even though you know nothing will be new until the weekly update!

* You can easily recognize the drawing style of at least one person when you see their stuff in Fan Art

* You know the significance of Odie Colognie!!!

* A forum crash constitutes a crisis.

From Killjoy:

* You refer to Kat changing the colour scheme of the site as "the Post Purple and Pink Era".

* Your birthday wish is having your harem spotlighted for the next week.

* Oscars? Grammies? Who cares about them!? You can't wait for the next "Mickey", "Crusader Rabbit" and "Decorate the Site" Awards!

* You actually think cartoon reality TV is a good idea for primetime.

... you scour the internet searching for lots of pics of your favorite characters to contribute to the site... like I do!

From JessKat/Firebird:

* You buy a video of an animated movie or show just because someone at AL recommended it.

* When you're watching a movie or TV show and see a character you know someone at AL is crazy about, you go: "Oh, I bet he/she would LOVE to be here right now!"

* You have an AL wallpaper as your desktop background...

* It's ALWAYS the first place you go when you get on the internet.

* You're family never wants to hear the words Animated Lust again.

* You spend half your time looking for pics for your harem and then making it look all nice and pretty.

The Forum:

~ When you spend so many hours a day on the forum, you know exactly what time the others come on and leave messages and when the "down times" are (when no one but you comes on)

~ When you can remember the names of your fellow forum members, their real names, where they are from,and who they like, but you can't remember the names of your co workers, or fellow students.

~ When you go on, and your five year old sister surprises you by looking at the new forum picture and asking "Where's Sailor Moon and Darien?"

~ When you are in a phone conversation with your sister and most of it is devoted to the forum members and what they said and who likes who.

Harems:

~ When you see someone else's harem member or so-called signature character (for example the Spring Sprite, Spike Spiegal, etc) you can't stop thinking of the AL-ian it's attached too.

~ When you watch a film just to think "Okay, who from this picture is harem worthy?"

~ When you do the above and can't find someone, you instantly equate that film as not as good as the ones that have harem members on it.

~ When you have RL Crushes they instantly have the same attributes and personality traits as the animated ones.

~ In RL, you imagine your harem members hanging out in your room, listening to your radio, watching your t.v, talking to you and each other, eating your food, using your phone to make long distance calls (Excuse me....)

Fanfic & Fanart:

~ You keep wondering when you will get that great phone call that the producers have read and liked your story or concept.

~ if they don't you keep watching your favorite show or movie for signs that it will lead up to it.

~ You have been comparing other characters to your fanfic characters for so long, that it almost becomes a catchphrase with you (for example, Serleena is very Silver Foxian)

~ You make fanfic or fan art soundtracks of songs that remind you or inspire youand listen to them more than anything else.

~ You may also make a new soundtrack for your favorite show or movie (sometimes they go hand in hand)

Animation:

~ You feel frozen about topics like abortion, or the death penalty, but by God, you can argue such important issues like the "Tulio and Miguel are they-aren't they controversy" for days on end.

~ Thanks to your fellow ALians you can not only catch people's voices when they do other animated shows but you can point them out on RL too.

~ You are not ashamed to go to McDonalds and order a Happy Meal, just to get the little toy.

~ You are known around the office as the Animation Girl, the girl who instantly gets the free passes to all animated movies.

Animated Lust:

~ When you tell people about your newest crush, you make up a story about how he is a guy you met about online, he is very animated, and he has kind of a bad reputation.

~ When your mom or your friends sees you go on and go "is it that lust place again?"

~ You breeze by the adult magazines wondering when they will finally feature your favorite character on the cover.

~ You picture your crushes playing different roles in film and t.v.

~ You look at a guy you have a crush on in the office and think, "Cute, but not <<insert character>>> "

* Your name on the message board is that of a character from your favorite movie

* You dream about marrying your favorite animated lust.

* You dream about doing other, not-so-wholesome things with your animated lust.

* You dream about your animated lust.

* You have an animated lust.

* AL's absence for a few days means a total nervous breakdown and medications for a month!

Forget scouring the 'net to FIND pictures of your favourite characters so you can send them in for their character pages! Try spending days on end downloading episodes of the show, so that you can MAKE your own screenshots!

-You name pets, stuffed animals, or your children after your favorite characters!

-Forget casting your crushes in other movie or TV roles, you cast them in your favorite music videos (the Sailor Scouts doing "Lady Marmalade," anyone?)

-Your dreams are frequently of the Roger-Rabbit-variety

-Your memorabilia from long-forgotten 80s shows still holds a prominent place in your room

-You make up a character based on you so you can be your favorite's boy/girlfriend (guilty as charged!)

-You have at least one fanart of your and your favorite in a liplock

-You've been tempted to do a fanart of you and your favorite in more than a liplock (bonus points if you've actually done it)

-Bad reviews or something you read in "I coulda been a contendah" deeply depress you

-Watching your favorite shows makes you all giggly inside

-You dress like your favorite character (bonus points if it's not even Halloween!)

-You hold conversations with your pets in public (hehehe, here come the men in the white coats!)

-You believe the world would be a cooler and more peaceful place if everything was outlined and brightly colored
