The Webmistress Survives
Half a Century

Amazing. This is November 24, 2002, and I turned 50 years old today. Who would have thought I'd survive this long? And who would ever have thought I'd be having as much fun as I've ever had in my life, right now?

One of the main reasons that I'm having fun and still feeling young is that I have this site and all the people who visit it, and most of all, all the people who are regulars at the forum and who contribute to AL. No webmistress could ever hope for better friends.

For this milestone, I asked the fan artists ~ any who had the time ~ to draw something for me. I've always loved the birthday balloon which has the Grim Reaper on it, and says, "Relax. I'm only here for the cake." So I asked the artists to do characters as the Grim Reaper, just for fun. Here they are, in the order in which I got them. And also, at the bottom, are some other gift arts I got for my birthday.

Thank you so much, all of you ~ the ALians and forum regulars for being there, helping me and cheering me and keeping me young, and you artists, who spent your valuable time and talent for me. *HUGS* to all!

OK, I'll shut up and show you the art now! Just click on the thumbnail to see the pic full-sized (I didn't want to shrink these) ~

Spike Spiegel from Steph*, with caption ~ "Now, the question is, did Kat pass out at the front door because she thought I was Death, come to take her away...? Or was it just because its me, Spike..."

The Spring Sprite (with the artist supplying a totally appropriate caption), from JessKat
Dean McCoppin, lookin' cool even as the Reaper, by Mikala
Metal Sonic and Mewtwo, by Echidna-Hazard, with a caption I can really identify with
Seijuro Hiko, looking sexy, by Loklore with help from Meeks

Other birthday gift art ~

Kiyoshi Sagara, by Sherrié, in nice birthday wrappings, showing one reason he's in my harem. Heh.
Spike Spiegel doing a Chippendales routine, by Lightstroke. Warning... it's really stretching the PG definition. :)
