Mutants & Mistletoe
A X-Men: Evolution Christmas Tale
Snow continued to fall at the Xavier Institute as the X-Men and the New Mutants began to have a Christmas party before they would leave to see their families for the holidays.
Scott “Cyclops” Summers drank some egg nog, as he saw Jean Grey bring out some more cookies from the kitchen for the kids. He knew that he won’t be able to see her until after the holidays, he had to talk to her before she leaves.
“Jean,” Scott said, as Jean turned to him. “I would like to talk to you before you leave tomorrow.”
“Sure, Scott,” said Jean, as she laid the tray of cookies on the table. “What do you need?”
“I want to give you your present before you go,” Scott gave Jean a wrapped present. “Don’t open it until Christmas.”
Jean smiled. “I have your present right here.”
Jean was about to kiss Scott, when Kurt “Nightcrawler” Wagner teleported between the two as Jean kissed the blue X-Man.
“Thanks for the kiss, Jean,” said Kurt.
“KURT!” Jean shouted. “The kiss was for Scott, not you.”
“Elf, can’t stand still for a minute,” said Wolverine, as he walked towards them.
“What are you going to be doing on Christmas, Logan?” Scott asked.
“Same old, same old,” said Logan. “I’ll be spending the holidays in Canada to visit some old friends there. Going to spent your Christmas with the Professor, Beast, and Rogue again like last year?”
“Same old, same old,” smirked Scott. “Have a good Christmas, Logan.”
“You too, bub,” said Logan, as he walked off.
Scott turned back to Jean, but she was with some of the New Mutants. He sighed when Beast and Professor Charles Xavier came towards him.
“Why so glum, Scott?” Professor X asked. “You should be happy on this Christmas holiday.”
“I am, Professor, but I want to spend Christmas with Jean and her family,” said Scott. “But, I don’t want to leave you, Beast, and Rogue to spend the holidays here.”
“We’ll be fine,” said Beast.
Jean walked towards them with a tray of cookies. “Scott, do you want to spend Christmas with my family? Dad said that he has a guest room for you to stay in if you want.”
“Well, I’ll take your offer, Jean,” said Scott, as he smiled. “What about Rogue?”
“Kitty told her parents if Rogue want to spend Christmas with her family, and they said yes,” said Jean.
Just then, the sound of Christmas music can be heard as Magma played some music on the stereo, as the X-Men began singing to the music.
“Merry Christmas, Jean,” said Scott.
“Merry Christmas, Scott,” smiled Jean, as she kissed him.
Professor X smiled as he and Beast walked off. This was going to be the best Christmas ever for the X-Men.
