Zak has a summer job, working for lumberjacks, which turns out to be a lot more exciting than expected when he makes a mistake that lands him in Ferngully: The Last Rainforest. Made "fairy size" by Crysta, his first priority is not to be eaten, but as he falls in love with Crysta, he also learns to love the world of the rainforest, and eventually he helps to save it.
