Yukari Tanizaki of Azumanga Daioh is the girls' homeroom teacher and English teacher. Unfortunately, this teacher's rambunctiousness and irresponsibility hardly makes her a role model and sometimes goes beyond her students' misbehavior. This juvenile behavior of hers gave her the nickname of Miss Yukari. While immature, she is fiercely competitive and is always looking for a battle against the gym teacher and her old high school friend, Miss Kurosawa. While one who teaches lessons, Yukari always has thousands of lessons to learn herself.
