XANA is the villain of Code Lyoko. He is the intelligence system of the Lyoko supercomputer and has been infected by a virus that has infused him with the desire to wipe out humanity. He does so by using the supercomputer's power to hack into other electronic devices and create deadly problems from there. XANA normally has no physical form, but through the use of programs called "specters", he can possess the minds of human beings, thus manifesting himself into the real world.
