The quiet, gentle lady around whom the Crimson Knights have formed, Subaru is troubled by the mysteries surrounding Tsukasa in "The World", an RPG game in the series .hack//SIGN, and she fears they may be dangerous to "The World" and its players. However, she forms a special bond with Tsukasa and joins those who are trying to help him.
