This Inu-Yasha: A Feudal Fairy Tale character is a fox spirit child who is left orphaned after his father is killed by a Shikon enhanced demon. Since he is very young and has no where else to go, he chooses to tag along with Inuyasha and Kagome - he views the latter as a big sister. Like all of his kind, Shippo's magical powers consist of creating all sorts of realistic illusions and tricks.
