Scrooge McDuck of DuckTales was born to Fergus McDuck and Downy o'Drake on 1867 in Glasgow,Scotland. He started working as a shoe polisher on the day of his tenth birthday on 1877. His first customer tricked him and paid him with an American dime. Scrooge decided to keep the coin as the first coin he ever earned, a reminder not to be fooled so easily and a token of luck, his charm. Scrooge immigrated to the United States of America on 1880. He traveled around the world for the folowing years working hard to earn money. In 1896 he traveled to the Klondike to search for gold. In 1897 he found a real vein. By the end of the year he had earned his first milion, and he started to invest his money in business. In 1902 he earned his first billion, settled in Duckburg, Calisota, U.S.A., and started building a world-wide financial empire. In 1930 he earned the title of "The Richest Duck in the World" and has held it since, along with the title of "The World's Greatest Adventurer". Ever since then he has expanded his empire and his fortune, still searching for adventure.
