Morpho was once an alchemist who sought dark water for his own ends, but through foolish action he was caught by the Dark Dweller, the force behind the Dark Water. The Dark Dweller spared Morpho's life; finding use for him in finding the Thirteen Treasures and destroying them. He is of two worlds; the upper world of Mer and that of the Dark Dweller, his ability to control Dark Water makes him a dangerous villain in The Pirates of Dark Water.
