Misa Amane is a model and an actress, a teen idol with an outgoing and hyperactive personality. After finding a Death Note dropped into the human world from the world of the death gods, she becomes an accomplice of the serial killer Light Yagami, alias Kira. Out of gratitude for punishing the criminal that killed her parents, Misa is hopelessly devoted to Light and his cause. Her power is even greater than Light's, as she has traded her eyes for a death god's, allowing her to see a person's real name just by looking at them.
