The mouse who started it all - Mickey Mouse! He was created by Walt Disney and aired for the first time in theatres November 1928. Since his first released cartoon, Steamboat Willie, Mickey has appeared in countless other cartoons, animated features, commercials, and other Disney productions. He is Disney's main icon and symbol.

In the "Kingdom Hearts" game series, Mickey Mouse is the king of Disney Castle who weilds a golden keyblade. When the Heartless invaded the universe, Mickey set out on his own to travel the world of darkness and find a way to defeat them. Eventually his path crossed with Riku's and after having an adventure in Castle Oblivion together, the two became close friends with Mickey being for Riku what Donald and Goofy are for Sora. Mickey is very powerful in battle and occasionally appears to help Sora out in tough situations, but usually keeps to his own agenda along with Riku and DiZ.
