This Fruits Basket character is one of the cursed members of the Sohma clan - however, he is not one of the twelve original members of the zodiac. When embraced by a member of the opposite sex, Kyo transforms into the cat. According to the legend, the cat was tricked by the rat and missed the banquet God hosted for all the zodiac animals, and ever since, the cat has been left out of the zodiac. Because of this, Kyo despises Yuki, and he has a brash, furious temper that often gets away from him. He also has trouble expressing his true feelings, and he only wishes to be accepted by his family and other people.
