This Fruits Basket character is a member of the Sohma family, and is a talented martial arts master and a very wise, kind-hearted man. Though he is not a zodiac member, Kazuma has a special connection to the zodiac - his grandfather carried the Curse of the Cat before Kyo - and due to his own foolishness as a child, Kazuma vowed to take Kyo in and act as a father-figure to him in repentance for his own mistakes towards his grandfather. He also trained Yuki, Kagura and Hatsuharu in martial arts, and like several of the other Sohmas, he fully believes in Tohru's kindness and hopes she will be able to help the zodiac members, specifically Kyo.
