Helga Sinclair

The blonde, attractive Lieutenant in Disney's Atlantis: The Lost Empire is a cold, (almost) unfeeling woman named Helga Sinclair. She has been working under Commander Rourke and Mr. Whitmore since the Iceland Expedition and has her own reasons for wanting to find the lost empire of Atlantis.

"Suspicious Minds", the source of many of the favorite images on this page. Lots of cool stuff, concentrating mainly on Helga's and Rourke's relationship.

Something Different:

Untitled

I hold this warm flairgun
and i know he may die....
Betrayed
Angry
Flat on my back
I can feel blackness seeping into my mind
I don't know if I will die
I don't care
My soul has gone
already.
Is it blood or tears
streaming down my face?
At least I failed
in this mission.
Failure
it will be my victory
as flesh and blood
and human.

Comments:

What I like best about Helga is that it's pretty difficult to pinpoint exactly what her thoughts and motives are. Milo wants to find Atlantis, Kida wants to improve things for her people and her kingdom, and Rourke wants the money, and the glory, from finding and selling the crystal... but what does Helga want?. Is she a coldhearted, ruthless mercinary whose only real passion is the persute of power and money, or is she an innocent, corrupted girl who is only going along with the plan because of her loyalty and sense of duty to her commanding officer?. Disney pretty much leaves that for the viewers and fan fiction writers to decide...

Another interesting thought: Just the other day I showed a good friend my story, "Nothing Personal". After they finished reading it I asked them if they liked it, and if they thought Helga was a tough character to figure out... Well, my friend answered "Yes. She can't figure herself out!"...
