This Cowboy Bebop character was part of an army on the planet Titan where he met Vicious and connected with him as a "comrade". Unfortunately, Vicious is no one's comrade and betrayed Gren by framing him as a "traitor". Gren spent some years in a jail where he was made a test subject for various drugs. Free now, he lives by himself and plays the sax in a local bar.
English Voice: Mike D'Gard

Comments:
A large part of Gren's personality is expressed through his sax theme song titled "Space Lion". A variation of it can be heard whenever the character is on screen and it's sad, slow, perhaps even nostalgic melody reflects the character perfectly. It speaks highly of the show's creators that the ending credits have been changed to this sax piece for this one episode, as if to have a few minutes of respect for this incredible character. I highly recommend that every Bebop fan listen to the song in it's uninterrupted CD form to fully appreciate it and Gren himself.

Gren is absolutely beautiful. He only appears in two episodes of Cowbop Bebop, but man, does he leave a lasting impression! I love his eyes, voice, his hair, *almost* (get that everyone, *almost*) everything about him. There are a couple of things I'm not too crazy about, but for the most part, Gren is one HOT guy! And he's so calm and gentle too!
