Originally known as Aeris from Final Fantasy VII, Aerith was the last Cetra and the only one who could have saved the planet - so subsequently, Sephiroth murdered her. Her death plagued Cloud, and although her spirit lives on, he wants her forgiveness in Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. In addition to being a prominent character in The Compilation of Final Fanasy VII, Aerith has made cameo appearances in games such as FF Tactics and Kingdom Hearts.
