Reviews for Sonic the Hedgehog (the movie)

If you only knew how obsessed I am with Sonic through the ages, the three stars I gave the Sonic the Hedgehog anime movie may seem a bit puzzling. But expectations were high from me, being the Sonic nut that I am, and I was a bit disappointed.

First the good- Knuckles makes an appearance, although he isn't given much to do, but he is my favorite character from the games and comics. There are some funny parts and Robotnik never really seems very threatening and that makes him a little more real than many of his other incarnations.

OK, one of the big problems I had from this movie is the dubbing. Normally, I'm not one to argue about this, but I think I would rather hear nails against a chalkboard than hear Tails and Sonic's voice. The story isn't all that interesting and the new characters they added weren't very interesting either.

Of course, being a Sonic fan, I bought it, but it's now just sitting on my shelf behind other videos. Ah, time to read more of the Sonic comics...
