This movie was not as quite as bad as I expected it to be.
There was just no way that I could avoid seeing it. The music was cute, even
if it had a new age twinge to it "Faith, Trust and Pixie dust."
Realistically, the whole idea of using Peter Pan as such a huge part of
raising her children made Wendy look a little crazy. Maybe that's just me.
Jane was good, and the fact that she became the first lost girl totally
rocked!! Wendy it cute and all, but it is nice to see a girl who can do
more than tell bed-time stories and walk bravely off the plank. I hated
the octopus. I detested it. Disney: THE CROC DIED!! GET OVER IT! The
psychedelic transition into Neverland did not fit anywhere in the
animation or style of the movie. I would definitely have preferred them
soaring through the night sky. That's a big part of Peter Pan!! I liked the
underlying war story, and how it might relate to kids today and how they
deal with the troubles now, but it kinda hit you over the head with
morals and idealism a bit much.
If you absolutely love Peter Pan, and want to see the pirate ship in
all its glorious splendor, rent the movie. Otherwise, don't bother.
