Reviews for Osmosis Jones

By Mewtwa Spoilers

Osmosis Jones- the buddy-cop movie recommeneded by 9 out of 10 physicians (Why the tenth one hates it I don't know). The movie is about Frank Detorri, a guy who could care less about his health. Most of the movie, however, takes place inside his body, where the title character comes in. Osmosis Jones (or Ozzie) is a white bllod cell cop, whose job is to keep the city of Frank as healthy as possible. He, along with his cold pill sidekick Drix, is out to stop a deadly virus. The characters include Osmosis (Ozzie) Jones [voice of Chris Rock], a street-smart white blood cell cop; Drix [voice of David Hyde Pierce], a by-the-book cold pill; Leah Estrogen [voice of Brandy Norwood], the mayor's aid to the city of Frank (and Ozzie's love interist); and Thrax [voice of Laurence Fishburne], the dealy virus who has chosen Frank to be his next victim. It's rated PG, mainly for bodily humor (boogers, a fart, etc). Though I enjoyed the movie a lot, I should warn that this movie is not for everyone. If you tend to be grossed out easily or are sensative to sexual or violent suggestions, you might not like this movie (there's not much of either content, but I'm speaking for the extremely sensative viewers). As for my opinion, I really loved the movie. The action, humor, and suspense really kept me glued to my chair (other than the taffy stuck to the floor). If I had to choose only one movie to watch for the rest of my life, this would be it!

This movie had a star-studded cast. The plot made Fantastic Voyage look like a sick joke. It was great seeing the comedy antics of Chris Rock, David-Hyde Peirce and Bill Maurry all in one hilarous and action-packed movie! The villain was the best of this movie. Bearing the trademark jacket his voiceactor wore in yet another sucessful Warner Brothers movie, Thrax was more sinsister than Team Rocket and Mojo Jojo combined. I can't wait until the animated series based on this movie. Not the same cast, but it's still good. This movie is meant for those who enjoy South Park's Fart and Poo jokes. Squeemish people should not see this movie for it contains digusting features including vomiting, mucus and many more. I can watch it anyday when there' nothing on T.V.!

One of the most obnoxiously pointless movies, animated or otherwise, I've ever seen. The animation isn't brilliant, but it has a unique look. And the animated characters are the only strong point of the entire film. The live action characters, on the other hand, are ugly, poorly acted, and just plain stupid. The plot, such as it is, is nothing but an excuse to showcase bodily function humor. Its message seems to be merely the importance of taking care of your body. We can get that off of any health book.
