All I can say about this movie is that is s*cked!
It was absolutely the worst animated film I have ever seen in my entire
life! It did not hold a candle to the original, and I couldn't stand
how they made Mrs. Brisby all granny like and pathetic. I mean really!

Spoilers
This movie was a sequel to the 1980s classic "Secret of NIMH"
by Don Bluth.
It does NO justice to the original.
The basic plot of the movie is that Timothy, the youngest son of Mrs.
Brisby rarely seen in the first movie, is going to Thorn Valley for an
education and to fulfill some prophecy that a son of Jonathan Brisby
would save the rats of NIMH just as his father had before him. Through
the course of the movie Timothy grows up, falls in love with a girl
mouse, helps rescue the Lost 6 from the previous film and battles his insane
older brother.
The inconsistancies begin with the difference in ages between the
Brisby children: in the first movie Teresa is the oldest, followed by
Martin, Timothy and then Cynthia. In the second Cynthia is considerably
older than she ought to be in regards to Timothy, while Martin is younger
than he ought to be compared to his younger siblings. And while Timothy
grows older through the course of the film, as does Martin, the sisters
and Mrs. Brisby do not. The most glaring error is the absence of the
Stone, which played a vital part of the first movie. No mention of it
is made at all, nor is it seen.
There were very few good parts to this movie. The fact that Mrs.
Brisby should look older than she was in the first movie was remembered.
And it was nice to see/hear the original actors for Mr. Ages and Jeremy
return to voice their characters. The writers had a good idea with the
plot point of the return of the Lost 6 (which really should be nine,
given the number of mice in the first movie), but it was handled
terribly.
I wouldn't reccomend this movie to anyone, especially a NIMH fan. Rent
it if you are curious, but don't invest money in buying the VHS.
