Emma

I'm 19, a freshman in college, and self-described "hopeless romantic." I love fairy tales, my favorite being Beauty and the Beast. I'm a big fan of Disney, but I also like movies by other American studios, such as Anastasia, Quest for Camelot, and The Swan Princess. I love to write, and I've written quite a bit of fanfic for various animated movies. In college, I'm majoring in English and Creative Writing, and hope to work in publishing one day.

Emily

I'm 14 years old and have always loved animation. My fav movies of all time would have to be Mulan, Cats Don't Dance, and The Road to El Dorado. I can pretty much find some good in everything, so I will probably never say I absoloutly hated any movie. However, as you can tell from my fav movies, I like the traditional form of animation a teensy bit more than CGI or stopmotion. I also LOVE anime. I love to draw, and I hope to be either an actress, singer, writer, or cartoonist someday.

Etana

An obsessive animation fan with a wall of animated videos to prove it. My favourite movies of late would be Toy Story 2 and Chicken Run and the top ranking movies of all time on my animated list would have to include The Nightmare Before Christmas and The Rescuers Down Under--that hospital scene in 'RDU' kills me every time. In this neck of the woods I'm probably best known as the webmistress of Keyframe - the Animation Resource.. but I do have some interests that don't include animation--I keep freshwater tropical fish, I'm working on a novel and I can make a mean pot of spaghetti sauce! :)

JessKat

A 17-year-old girl (actually a meerbat/vampire meerkat, shh, don't tell anyone!) from Finland. My favorite animated movies include The Lion King, Tarzan (these two being the absolute top notch), Simba's Pride (Lion King 2), The Hunchback of Notre Dame, The Secret Of NIMH and The Iron Giant. Of course I have many other favorites, those are just a few great ones. My biggest objects of animated lust are Tarzan, Dean McCoppin, the Spring Sprite and Kovu (yes, one of them IS a girl!). My other, NON-animated fave movies include Bram Stoker's Dracula, The Matrix, Nightmare On Elm Street and The Crow (yeah, lots of horror movies, kinda awkward considering how crazy I am about Disney ;P). Besides movies, I like animals (I have a cat), reading (especially Stephen King), surfing the internet and drawing. If you're interested in seeing my doodlings, check out the Fan Art area of this site, under the name JessKat.:) That's about it, Hakuna Matata!

Kat

I'm 48 years old and have been an animation fan all my life. I was brought up on Looney Tunes, anime, and Disney, so I like a lot of different kinds of animation. My list of top animated films includes Mulan, The Secret of NIMH, Princess Mononoke, and The Iron Giant, but my list of favorite films is a really long one. In fact, there are only three animated movies that I can think of that I don't like (if you're curious, they are The Black Cauldron, Quest for Camelot, and The Lion King), and even those had their good points. However, I try to stay objective, and I take into account not only the plot, animation, and characters, but also the "message" the movie presents, so a 5-star rating from me means the movie delivers more than just good plot/characters/animation, whereas a 1-star rating means there's something I have an objection to that's beyond the usual. I'll be dividing my reviews into sections ~ a general reaction followed by a brief plot summary, comments on the characters, and a bad news/good news summary.

Katarina

Okay, my real name is Kayleen. I've loved animation for my entire life. As a kid, I spent hours watching cartoons...in fact, I STILL spend hours watching cartoons! I wanted to be an animator, but my college didn't offer that program, so I got a B(achelor of) F(ine) A(rts) in Drawing. So, maybe I'll work in comics... My favorite animated movie is The Little Mermaid, although I like most other Disney flicks, Anastasia, the Last Unicorn, and some ones I'm forgetting right now. My favorite animated TV shows are Daria and TaleSpin. I'm mostly pretty indifferent to Anime, but I have been known to watch Sailor Moon. If you're bored, check out my website, run by my furry alter-ego, Katarina the vixen.

Lady Iapetus

My name is Lady Iapetus, Empty Post-replier and She of Many Identities. I'm a big fan of animated movies, cartoons and Japanese anime. My favorites in each category are The Secret of NIMH, Gummi Bears and Robotech. I also write fanfiction of various genres, including those three, and have some of my works published on my own website as well as on Fanfiction.Net. Mainecoon

Age: 16

Location: Washington DC by day, but by night I roam the very limits of my imagination! Usually it leads me to an extremely large prison complex below the surface of the earth where toons from all over the world are being held captive by the Powers That Be. Beware of the shadow guards!!

As you can see, I'm a little stranger than your average kid. Personally, I think it's one of my better qualities. It gives me a chance to see things from a slightly different angle. I write fanfics, some of which can be found on this wonderful site. In addition to toon fics, I also write X-Files fanfic and stories of my own creation. My favourite movies are (in no particular order):
~The Great Mouse Detective
~Wizards
~Who Framed Roger Rabbit?
~The Wind in the Willows
~The Lion King
Just to give you a feel for my non-animated tastes, I could watch "Sabrina" all day and never get tired of it. And no,it isn't the teenage witch one! It's the one with Harison Ford.

I read extensively, and do fan art. Currently I have read ALMOST everything Oscar Wilde has ever written. I adore novelizations of movies. My favourite one to date is the official novelized Lion King. Why? Because certian scenes do not coordinate with the movie. Normally that would annoy me, ut I can make an exception in this case for a certain scene involving Timon getting really, really steamed at the prospect of Nala allowing Simba to return to his home. I love that scene. I also love talking about myself. It's one of my favourite pasttimes. So I'll cut this profile short before I end up with a 15-page monologue about my adventures in the toon world. ;-)

Samurai Kat

Well lets start at the begining shall we. I'm 25 years old and I love cartoons when I was little and still today. My favorit shows are Samurai Jack, Lupin the III, Inu-yahsa, and many more. I just finshed college and looking for a job in my feild or close to my feild. I love to write stories and draw as well. Most of my stories are on Samurai Jack and I did some drawings of Jack and many others. But in all I'm just a regular person just like you are trying to fit in as much as I can. But in all I'm a great listener and sometimes I give good advise here and there. Well that sums it up until then catch you all on the flip side.

Sherrié

I'm a 19 year old college student with a double major in Communication and English and a minor in procrastinating. :) I've been an animation fan since I was 2 years old (that was old enough to enjoy Walt Disney World and force my parents to take me on It's A Small World 50 times in one day). Since then my love for animation has grown and become a major part of my life. I love just about all kinds of animation from Disney to Fox, and yes, even a little bit of anime. I love to look for hidden meanings and symbolism in animated movies, as well as those adult puns and jokes that I'm just now starting to notice, that a 5 year old wouldn't ever get. I find this stuff amusing, entertaining, and fun.

My favorite animated movies? I won't bore anyone with listing movie after movie, so I'll just list my top favorites: Anastasia and Titan AE share first place, and following those are Beauty and the Beast, Mulan, Robin Hood, The Black Cauldron, Oliver and Company and The Fox and the Hound. Favorite cartoons? I grew up on the Smurfs, Muppet Babies, Alvin and the Chickmunks, and Garfield.

Like other people, I have insane animated obsessions, clarified and amplified on my two websites, Devoted To Dimitri and Crazy For Cale. These are twin sites, both shrines to Fox's two animated men. Therese

Age: Old enough to have seen "Mary Poppins" on its initial release.

Location: US

I'm a big kid who has never outgrown my love of animation, and I'm also a life-long fan of musical theatre. I like all forms of animation, drawn, CGI, stop-motion - they all have their strengths and are well-suited to different types of stories. Deepest in my heart of all animated films is "The Nightmare Before Christmas." I'm also a huge fan of the John Lasseter/Pixar features, and my favorite recent "traditional" (drawn) features are "Mulan" and "Hunchback of Notre Dame." I am NOT an artist, nor an art expert, and while I appreciate good visuals, my primary interests are usually characterization and storytelling.
