My hobbies:Cartoons, of course ; ). Medieval history has always intrested me, so has fantasy in general. Ever since I saw "Sleeping Beauty" as a little kid (god, how old was I? 3?) I've loved animated stuff. I am very busy when school starts up, as I am on the High Honors at some little fancy-pants rich-kid school. I tend to write a lot (two books have gone down to State-now if I could only animate them....) and have been taking drama since I was seven (last role was Nancy in Oliver!) My interest in animation is:I love the characters! I like the details, I like the stories, and I like the fact that since its geared towards children, I never seem to lose intrest.

I flatly refuse to ever grow up!! I am optimistic... occasionally a bit too much so, in fact. I adore anything British, depressingly dramatic, or involving mice. I'm a bit strange that way. I also like jelly beans. I'm something of a packrat, so my room (which is quite small) has anywhere from 3 to 7 square feet of floor space... depending on how clean it is. I collect everything. It's a little trick some waiter taught me. He said, "Never throw anything away, because some idiot is sure to buy it." Good advice, really!

The story of Mainecoon's name: If you can see that lovely cartoonish picture of myself (and yes, I DO look like that. That picture went through testing by my sister, brother, and best IRL friend), you'll se that stripy cat next to me. That cat is of a species known as a mainecoon. Mainecoons, so the legend says, are the result of cross-breeding house cats with raccoons to make bigger cats. The farmers in Maine did it to control the mouse population, apparently. I don't know how much truth is in that, but whatever happened, bigger cats were the result. Purebred mainecoons can get about twice the size of a scottie terrier. And they're terribly friendly. The mainecoon cat in my posession was a gift from my grandparents, who are the caretakers of his sister.

Interests: Cartoons (duh), literature (Oscar Wilde!!!), writing, anything having to do with Victorian England, "Alice in Wonderland," worshipping Roddy McDowall, art, and drama.

Animation interest: I plan to be an animator when I grow up... er... physically, that is. I fully intend to never allow my imagination to get any older than 5 or 6.

I think my love for animation started about 2 years ago when I got the Art of the Hunchback of Notre Dame for $16.99 at a warehouse sale. Describe yourself: DESCRIBE?! Whadya mean "describe"? Well, I'll try my hardest... Well first, I'm a Christian. Then I'm weird. As my s/n suggests, I'm a voice chaser and stuff (as with lotsa people on this). And I'm obsessive, meaning "liking things so much you can't help bringing it out in every conversation". *sigh* I don't know how to go into more further detail than that.

Interests: Voice chasing, watching cartoons (in fact, the only non-cartoons I watch are Who Wants to be a Millionare? and Who's Line is it Anyway?--the British version), acting weird, playing video games ('specially Super Metroid), hanging out, making websites, junk food, um...obsessing? Discription of Self: I'm a college student majoring in Communication Broadcast and English, with a minor in procrastionation. I have brown hair and dark brown eyes, and I wish I were two inches taller, but right now I'm at 5'4".

Hobbies/Interests: My main hobbies are animation of almost all genres, music, drawing, writing, and surfing online. I've always got more spare time then I really should to do these fun things... when I really should be working on school stuff. ^_~

My Interest in Animation is: I've got several interests in animation. Once I thought I wanted to be an animator, but alas...I have little patience and artist talent for that. If I had to sit and draw the same character over and over with accurate precision, I'd fail miserably. However, animation has always been an influence in my life and will continue to have an affect on me. It's an escapism, it's fun, and I enjoy it. I have since I was two and a half - that was old enough to drag my parents on "It's a Small World" at Disney quite a few times. ^_~ I don't think I'll get out of it any time soon.

I am an English major, at UM-St.Louis and I have plans to be a features/A&E journalist for a magazine. I am short about 5"2, with long thick curly red hair that is a pain to manage, but everyone notices. I have Irish green eyes that hide behind thick glasses that don't really help much. I can alternate between personalities. To people I meet or intstructors in class, I am very friendly and intelligent. I'm quick with an answer in class, or a general word of greeting. I will probably never say anything unkind or prejudice to anyone. But, there is also a dangerous side to me, that is very quiet and emotional. I can go a whole day without talking outside of class, or in an interview. I have a hair trigger temper that goes off at the slightest provocation. I am very self-critical and self-doubting. I take pride in being an outsider in that I really don't go out much. I am very neurotic, and have many phobias including claustrophobia, agoraphobia, and crowd-a phobia (I don't know what it's called!). I'm prone to depression and anxieties.

I have very few interests, but the ones I have I stick with. I love to read. I don't get to read a whole lot for pleasure, but often I wil enjoy what I read for class or for a review. Some of my favorite books and stories include, Alice in Wonderland/Through the Looking Glass, Greek, Celtic, and Norse mythology, Grimm's Fairy Tales, Morte D'Artur, Rebecca, Jane Eyre, Oliver Twist, The Whipping Boy, Most of Shakespeare's tragedies, particularly Hamlet, King Lear, and Macbeth, Edgar Allen Poe's stories, especially "Cask of Amontillado", "Fall of the House of Usher" and the "Tell Tale Heart", "The Yellow Wallpaper" by Charlotte Perkins Gillman, "Young Goodman Brown" by Nathanial Hawthorne, and Washington Irving's stories particulalry "Legend of Sleepy Hollow" and "Rip Van Winkle." I also like to watch movies, I have a large collection of films and I love to rent them. My favorite genres include animation (of course), science fiction, and fantasy. My current non-animated favorite shows are Masterpiece Theatre, Mystery, and the American Who's Line is It Anyway? and I like to listen to music, with New Age music, 80's retro, soft alternative, and instrumental movie soundtracks topping my playlist. Another interest I have is fanfiction. I am very bipolar with my fics, in that I will jump from subject to subject and show to show, never staying with one for very long. I delight in wondering what my favorite characters did after the movie, or where they come from. And for me fanfiction supplies the answer that I'm curious about.

Animation interest: I've been into animation since I was a kid. I liked the Smurfs, Voltron, and others. That stayed with me until I was in junior high and felt that it was "uncool", so I shyed away from animation until I was in high school and started watching Gargoyles and Batman. After I started junior college, I once again moved on to science fiction and fantasy. Now, I'm at the university and I'm not ashamed to admit all my favorite shows and movies are animated.

What interests me about animation is the animation itself (even though I can't draw to save my life) and also the stories. The scripts are often more intelligently written than most people think, with jokes and repeatable lines. There is also an insane logic with animation where everything should make sense (no matter how silly or anti-historical, or farfetched it seems). It is escapism in it's purest and truest form.

Ok, I guess this is where I reluctantly spill all of my real life information:) Well, my real name is Nicole. (boring I know) My main character is Deramis, who works for Hades in the Underworld. My other character (more like an alter ego) is Megara. I'll post as her occasionally, since my animated lust is Hercules! He's one sexy man! I used to have an obsession with the Little Mermaid, but for four years and counting I've switched to Herc and am madly in love with him. Other than that I have always loved Disney movies in general.

For as far back as I can remember I have loved to draw. And since sixth grade I've wanted to animate for Disney and maybe do voiceovers. My other hobbies are acting, singing, dance (I did gymnastics for 9 years). I'm a Capricorn and I enjoy long walks on the beach. I'm a senior in high school (that underworld on earth) and government class is the bane of my existence! Next year I plan to go to college and major in art.

Favorite animated movie: Too many to mention. I go through phases everyonce and a while. The thief and the cobbler, Animaniacs, Cats don't dance, the lion king, Tenchi Muyo, Outlaw Star, Wakko's Wish, The nightmare before Christmas, Wallace and Gromit, and Chicken Run.
Favorite animated character: Too many to say. Yakko and Wakko Warner, Jack Skellington & Sally, Tack (From the thief and the cobbler), Shaun the lamb, and Gene Starwind.

I've been intrested in animation ever since I entered middle school. It all sarted when I became a big fan of Scooby-Doo. :Outher fans give her srtange looks: And sarted *Ahem* lusting for Fred. Every one thought I was strange, but for some reson I didn't care. Why? Because I knew that someone out there felt the same way. Maybe not for the same character, but for any animated character. Then I came to this site. And here I am! ^_^ As I got older, I got introdueced to anime. Now I am a die hard anime fan. I don't like Disney as much as the people here, but I do like Mulan, Aladden, and The Little Mermade. *Whew* that's about it. I hope to meet alot of great people here! ^_^

I love animation, (of corse or I wouldn't be here.) I also like to sing, (In the school choir), draw, write, and when I get to high school, I might take acting. I hope to be an aimateor some day. (They have animation classes at the high school I'm going to! ^_^)If not than a writer. I also love video games, espesally the Final Fantasy series.

Animation interest: Voice acting. How could you not like voice acting if you like animation. My favorite voice actor is Frank Welker, he dose the voice of Fred. I also like alot of outher voice actors. There is just too many to name!
Favorite animated TV shows: Scooby-Doo, Sailor Moon, Pokemon, Tenchi Muyo!, Gundam Wing, Outlaw Star, and lot of outher shows. Favorite animated movies: Titan A.E., Mulan, The Little Mermade, Aladden, all of the new Scooby moives, and the Sailor Moon movies. I bet there are alot more I can't think of right now!
Favorite animated character: Fred is my number one fave! Then there's Daphne (Scooby-Doo), Darien (Sailor Moon), Ryoko (Tenchi Muyo!), and there's just too many to name right now! Just go see my harem!
